Heat a medium sized pot on LOW. Add the turmeric and toast lightly allowing the spice to bloom for more taste.Add the oil and peppers and saute for about 2 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for additional 2 minutes allowing the peppers and garlic to get tender. Add the remaining ingredients and allow to simmer on LOW to MEDIUM heat for at least 30 minutes. Remove from heat and blend. (Run through a strainer for a more refined, smoother sauce.)Cool and store in the refrigerator.
