BBQ Patty Melt

A juicy ground chuck patty topped with queso cheese, Brite Harbor® Mayonnaise, Brite Harbor® Target BBQ sauce, and bacon jam served between two pieces of buttermilk bread.

4 ozGround Chuck Patty
2 tspBurger Spice Blend Sub Recipe
3 ozQueso Cheese
2 eaButtermilk Sandwich Bread
2 ozBacon Jam Sub Recipe
BURGER SPICE BLEND, SUB RECIPE
½ tspGround Black Pepper
1 tspKosher Salt
1 tspBrown Sugar
1 tspGarlic
1 tspOnion Granulated
1 tspCumin
1 tspChili Powder
½ tspDry Mustard
BACON JAM, SUB RECIPE OR PURCHASE
3 ozBacon Chopped
1 ozSweet Onion Small diced
1 tspGarlic
1 tspBrown Sugar
1 tspMaple Syrup
1 tspApple Cider Vinegar

Directions

BURGER SPICE BLEND
Mix all the ingredients until evenly blended, then place in the spice shaker and use for service.
BACON JAM
On MEDIUM-HIGH heat melt the butter in the small sauce pan.
Sauté the chopped bacon and onions until fat is rendered out and mix starts caramelizing - about 5-8 minutes.Deglaze with the vinegar and let cook for 30 seconds.Add in the remaining ingredients and cook until jam like texture forms.Place in sealed container and serve accordingly.
BBQ PATTY MELT PROCEDURES
Season steak burger on both sides and place on grill or flat top. Cook 3-6 minutes on per side until appropriate temp is reached: Rare: 120-125, 3 minutes per side. Medium Rare: 130-135, 4 minutes. Medium: 140-145, 5 minutes per side. Medium Well: 150-155, 6 minutes per side.
Spread the mayonnaise on one side of each bread and place mayonnaise side down on flat top.Spread the BBQ sauce on each slice of bread as its toasting.Spread the queso cheese on the BBQ sauce.Place the bacon jam on one slice of bread.Place the cooked patty on one slice of bread, then top with the other slice of bread.Once the cheese is melted and bread is toasted, remove from flat top and serve.
